Gemini Man..

 For a while now, I have been watching a movie titled: Gemini Man, and I seem not to be able to stop watching it. In fact, my teenage son has had enough of my seemingly obsession with this film but I really couldn’t care less! 

Gemini Man was directed by Ang Lee and featured as the main character, Henry Brogan, Will Smith.

At first, I didn’t understand the concept behind the story, but as I continued to watch it over and over again, I began to grasp its meaning.

Henry Brogan, who is an agent for the Defense Intelligence Agency is about to retire after  seventy-two kills for the -Agency. His job is to take down terrorists who are a threat on American soil. But his last hit was spiked. And after killing an innocent Molecular Biologist, who had been framed as a bio-terrorist because he had made ground breaking discoveries about cloning, he finds out too late from an already retired DIA agent, Jack, that Dormouth, who had worked with Clay Verus, to clone soldiers was actually framed.

Clay Verus, is also an ex-agent with the DIA, and the founder of Gemini Man. His aim or vision is to clone soldiers, so that these clones who don’t have a conscience, won’t feel pain, and will be stronger and smarter than normal human soldiers. 

And then he clones Henry Brogan played by Will Smith, who is the strongest and smartest agent, that the DIA has ever hired! 

Brogan’s clone, Clay Junior is also the adopted son of Clay Verus. He has been sent to kill Brogan who has classified information that his last hit on a moving train in Lichen, Belgium was spiked by the DIA. So he runs for his life together with another agent, Danielle Zakurusky, whose cover is blown after Brogan discovered she was sent by the DIA to trail him after making his intentions to retire known, but who is also innocent of their intentions to kill him.

Together, they flee to Colombia with the help of another retired agent, Baron. From Colombia to Budapest in Hungary to meet with Yuri Kovacs, who knows the truth about his last mission, he finally comes face to face with his clone, Clay Junior, who is a younger version of him. 

In the end, however, good triumphs over evil as Clay Junior learns the truth about his existence and turns on his supposed father, Clay Verus, who had lied to him about his parents. 

After a fierce combat, Clay Verus and his inventions, the Gemini Lab and clones are all destroyed.

This is a must watch for everyone, including the whole family. It’s a gripping movie that leaves you breathless and triggers your sense of intrigue.
